Hydro-pneumatic accumulators are pressure vessels which are used in oil hydraulic systems. They can provide a number of functions. They also present an acute safety risk to personnel and equipment if not correctly engineered or maintained. This on-line course is designed as a detailed examination of hydraulic accumulator technology. We examine all aspects of their construction, their operation within a system, their servicing and the engineering of an accumulator system.
